Adding a Site

Ready to add a site to Conversion Locker? Here’s how:

Want to get into the nitty gritty details?

  1. Log into the ConversionLocker app here by entering your username and password.
  2. The Dashboard will appear when your login is successful.
  3. Click on the “Sites” tab on the navigation bar.
  4. Click the plus icon at the top right of your screen.
  5. Instead of clicking the plus icon, you can also click “Add another site” near the bottom of your screen.
  6. This will open the Add Site Wizard, which includes an easy four-step process.
  7. Enter the domain of the site you’re adding by filling out the Domain field. The site’s protocol is optional, but the entry must contain the site’s full hostname. For example, you may enter either www.mywebsite.com or https://www.mywebsite.com, but just “mywebsite” isn’t enough.
  8. Click “Continue” below the field where you entered your site’s domain.
  9. Next up is the Get Script step. There are two possible routes, depending on whether your site is in WordPress.
  10. If your site is not in WordPress, click the box on the left titled “Using HTML/JavaScript.”
  11. Copy the embeddable script that the system generates.
  12. In your own site, embed this script near the end of the html body, and ensure this script appears in your main url ‘/’. Be sure to clear your site's cache before continuing.
  13. If your site uses WordPress, click the “Using WordPress Plugin” button on the right.
  14. Install the plugin on your site following the prompts.
  15. Click the “Plugin installed, get script ID” button.
  16. In the plugins tab of your WordPress site, under “ConversionLocker,” set the code to the Script ID generated by the system. Make sure this script appears in your main url ‘/’.
  17. Click “Continue.”
  18. The crawler is now verifying your site. If an error comes back, follow the prompts to resolve it. Otherwise, your site is now connected. Congrats!

Integrating via Forms or Email

Follow these instructions to integrate forms or email:

  1. Forms can be integrated to ConversionLocker by simply adding the “conversionlocker” class to a form. This will cause the form to automatically unbind contact form 7, and submit the form directly into ConversionLocker.
  2. To integrate by email, go to the ConversionLocker Dashboard and click the “Integrations” tab.
  3. When the list appears, slide the switch to “On” next to your site.
  4. Using your existing form service, add this email to the list of email addresses to send any form conversions to. This will allow ConversionLocker to receive, organize, and display your conversions in a sortable, manageable way without blocking other integrations. However, ConversionLocker cannot perform site form testing using this integration, since it would create test conversions in your other integrations if it did.
